What should I wear?

Closed-toe shoes are a must! We slice boards at Axcadia! Not Toes! - Comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement.

Is axe throwing safe?

Yes, Absolutely! Safety is our top priority. Our trained staff will provide easy to follow instructions and ensure that all safety measures are in place. Like any sport or activity, There is always a slight risk, But, If you listen to your instructor & adhere to the safety guidelines these should be minimal!

Can I bring my own axe?

For safety reasons, we only allow the use of our in house axes on the premises. Don't worry, we have high-quality axes for you to use during your session.

League members are welcome to bring their own axes. (Subject to complying with safety guidelines)

Any axes purchased from ourselves will comply with IATF safety standards & may be used in the venue.

Can I drink alcohol?

Participants must sign a wavier prior to throwing any axes. The waiver is to agree that you are able to safely take part in the sport of axe throwing. -  This includes not being under the influence of excessive alcohol and zero drugs. 

If you are under the influence of what we deem to be excessive alcohol or drugs on arrival - Or at any point during your session which results in your behaviour becoming unsafe, you will be asked to leave & no refund will be given.

We accept no liability for any accident or misadventure that occurs while any of your group are under the influence of drink or drugs. We accept no liability for any damage caused by any member of your group and will provide your contact details to any venue or service seeking to claim compensation as a result of the actions of your party. You (and your group) may be asked to leave the premises without refund in some circumstances

Basically. Don't ruin it for yourselves and others! Come in, Have a throw, Have some fun and save the alcohol for after your session.

Is there an age limit?

Yes, For safety reasons our sessions are open to any person 10 years+ (Under 18's MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times.)

What is a league?

A league season runs for a period of 8 consecutive weeks

Each league includes an optional 30 minutes of practice at the beginning of your league night, an average of 4 competitive matches each week, and their name on a sweet trophy. 

All leagues will have a full 28 matches per player regular season and a double elimination playoff.

Who can participate?

Anyone & Everyone is welcome to join our leagues! All we ask is that you have participated in at least 1 axe throwing session with us previous to signing up.

What is the point of League?

Honestly...Where do i start? A league, in the context of the International Axe Throwing Federation (IATF), is a competitive platform that brings together axe throwing enthusiasts from around the world. It provides an organized and structured environment for individuals to participate in a series of axe throwing matches against other league members. These competitions typically involve following specific rules and regulations set by the IATF, ensuring fairness and consistency across all league events. Participating in an IATF league allows individuals to refine their axe throwing skills, track their progress, and compete for rankings and recognition within the global axe throwing community. Additionally, being part of a league often fosters a sense of camaraderie and allows for networking opportunities with other passionate axe throwers!

 If that wasn't enough, If you make Top 4 position in Standard league or Top 8 postion in Premier league You will qualify into Round 1 of the International Axe Throwing Championships!* Held in Toronto, Canada!

*(Adult leagues only and must have completed 3 leagues in same season)

What if I'm not good enough to enter!

Don't be daft! Here at Axcadia we're a community! We firmly believe that with enough nurture & practice you'll be smashing those coveted 27's, 54's & 81's!
